name: Rude series: Final Fantasy VII / Advent Children age: 26 gender: male sexuality: straight
appearance:
There is one thing essential to Rude. His shades. The rest could be sack cloth and ashes for all he cared, but so long as he has his shades, little else matters. He does rather like the standard Turk uniform - thinks it makes him look cool. (Not like he needs it, though. Rude's often the more calm laid-back 'cool' to his partner's wild antics.) At any rate he wears expensive (and company-provided) black suits, white dress shirts, black ties, and boots. While Reno often looks somewhat disheveled and rag-tag, Rude's normally very neat and clean - suit pressed, shirt tucked in, that sort of thing, his goatee kept neat and trim. Aside from the smoky grey frameless sunglasses he always wears, Rude's never seen without a pair of expensive (and also company-provided) black leather gloves, and a multitude of hoops in his ears. Despite whatever rumors may or may not be circulating, Rude isn't bald. He routinely shaves his head because he likes the style. It used to be he liked to keep it absolutely bare, but lately he's found that when a trace amount of peach fuzz shows up on his scalp, girls are more prone to notice him, simply out of wanting to rub the soft fuzz. When your partner is fast-talking and fast-moving, anything that gets a girl to look at you twice is okay by Rude.
personality:
Well for starters, he tolerates Reno, so that should account for something. Definetly the straight man to his partner's insane behaviour, Rude doesn't say much. Usually Reno makes him look a little foolish, but Rude's well used to it by now. Like his Turk bretheren, he's feircely loyal to ShinRa and his other Company members, even if he doesn't like them very much. Like Reno, he doesn't much take his job seriously, although he can be a slight bit more reliable and controllable than his partner. Over the years Reno's personality has rubbed off a little on Rude, and he's developed a quirky sense of humor (and a much higher tolerance for booze than he was born with). Rude's also got a tendency to be smarter than he looks, as most people pass him off for a quieter version of his brash red-headed partner. He just prefers to leave most of the talking up to Reno - although that usually leads to even bigger trouble for the pair of them.
abilities/weaponry:
Rude is a superb physical fighter. He does indeed carry a MagRod like Reno, but doesn't care to use it, relying on his fists and feet instead. Like any Turk he's got a knowledge of basic military vehicles like helicopters and computers and things. He's also very resilient, and the long years of Turk training have given him a bit more physical prowess than the average Joe. He's also fond of explosives, the flashier and 'boomy'-er the better.
weaknesses:
Reno. Even though he'd have it no other way, partnering with Reno in the Turks has gotten him into more trouble than he could ever manage to get into in a lifetime on his own. Rude doesn't talk much, so he often gets overlooked or underrated. Also he carries a few extra pairs of sunglasses with them ... as Reno has a tendency to break the ones he's wearing.
history:
Not much was known about Rude before he became a Turk. It's assumed the he, like Reno, was specially hand-picked to join the Investigation Sector of the General Affairs Department of ShinRa. Obviously this imparts that Rude's got above-average skills in the soldiering department, or was at least picked to be the level-headed silent-type amongst the motley gang of Turks. He's also had a long-standing crush on Tifa Lockheart, although nothing's come of it.
OOC- disclaimer: Not Rude. Duh. He and his world belong to Square-Enix. I'm just havin' a lil' fun with him, yo. |
